EXHIBITIONS

Mental health is not only an individual issue. It is also shaped by our culture, our systems, and how we understand one another.

Through exhibitions and public education initiatives, we invite people to reflect on stigma, rights, recovery, and our connections with one another. We believe meaningful change goes beyond the individual and can gradually take root within our communities and across society.

"Mental Health Right On!"
A Public Exhibition on Mental Health in the Workplace

"Will having a mental health condition affect my chances of getting a job?"
"Do I have to disclose my diagnosis to my employer?"

Mental health in the workplace has become an increasingly important issue that affects employees, employers and organisational culture alike.

Created by participants of the first Advanced Training of Mental Health Impact Generation Programme, "Mental Health Right On!" is a public exhibition that explores the experiences and challenges of young people entering the workplace.

The exhibition aims to raise awareness of workplace mental health, encourage open conversations, and support young employees as they navigate the transition into working life. Through stories, reflections and public dialogue, it explores different aspects of mental health in the workplace and invites visitors to imagine more supportive and inclusive workplaces.

“To Tag / Not To Tag”

We are all labelled, and we all label others.

When labels and stereotypes become part of everyday life, it is easy to forget that every person is a unique individual deserving of dignity and respect. Instead, we begin to see one another through the lens of prejudice.

Mental health is one example. Labels surrounding mental health conditions often give rise to stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination, leaving many people feeling stigmatised and misunderstood. These judgments can quietly shape our everyday conversations, making it difficult to say, "I'm not doing well," "I'm not sleeping well," or "I'm not happy," for fear of being seen as weak or "having a problem."

To Tag / Not To Tag is an immersive exhibition experience consisting of five interactive zones. Through participatory art installations, visitors are invited to engage emotionally, reflect on the impact of labels, and consider how understanding and compassion can replace judgement.

A single label can leave a lifelong mark. A different choice can change someone's world.

To tag or not to tag?

The exhibition was held over three days and welcomed more than 1,300 visitors.

"Think Good, Talk Good”

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong), StoryTaler collaborated with Zurich to create the Think. Talk Good interactive telephone booth installation.

Designed as a welcoming space for conversation, the installation invited visitors to explore the principles of positive psychology through meaningful dialogue. Sign language interpretation was also available, making the experience more accessible and inclusive for people with different communication needs.

The exhibition also featured a "Listen Closely" listening corner, where visitors could hear personal stories and reflections from people with diverse life experiences. A giant telephone handset installation provided an interactive photo opportunity, encouraging visitors to share the experience with others.

The exhibition ran for 18 days and welcomed more than 5,000 visitors.

“Accompany"

The Chinese title 「我肯陪你」 is a play on the English word "accompany/ I'll Walk With You", expressing a simple yet powerful message: I am willing to walk alongside you.

Throughout our lives, we all move between being the person who accompanies others and the person who is accompanied. This exhibition invited visitors to reflect on both roles and explore what it means to truly be there for one another.

Featuring virtual reality experiences, multimedia and interactive installations, large-scale art installations, guided storytelling sessions, and public talks, Accompany offered an immersive journey through different moments of connection, encouraging visitors to learn how to accompany others—and how to allow themselves to be accompanied.

To ensure the exhibition was accessible to a wider audience, sign language interpretation and audio description were provided throughout the event.

The exhibition ran for three days and welcomed more than 1,500 visitors.

“I Am Not Fine"

In response to the familiar question, "How are you?", many of us instinctively reply, "I'm fine," even when we're struggling inside.

I Am Not Fine was created to challenge the pressure to always appear positive. At the heart of the exhibition is a simple message:

It's fine not to be fine.

Through interactive experiences and public engagement, the exhibition encouraged visitors to reflect on the stigma surrounding emotional vulnerability and to create space for more honest conversations about mental health. By normalising difficult emotions, it invited people to recognise that asking for support is not a sign of weakness, but part of being human.

The exhibition ran for seven days, welcoming more than 3,000 visitors in person and reaching over 230,000 people online.
