Online Psychological Support Service
Have you ever felt low at work? Lacking motivation,
carrying worries, or finding it hard to relax?
At times, we may carry the weight of these feelings silently, unsure how to speak of them. We may worry that expressing emotional distress will be misunderstood, perhaps seen as ‘unprofessional’ or ‘too negative’. Or perhaps we’re simply unsure where to turn for care, for ourselves, or our mental wellbeing, in the midst of daily work
You are not alone in this
StoryTaler offers gentle and confidential Audio/ Virtual Psychological Support Service* for employee - a one-to-one space for employees who may be experiencing mild to moderate emotional challenges, such as low mood, anxiety, or stress.
Through this service, we offer space to:
Learn tools from low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LI-CBT) to relieve distress and emotional difficulties
Explore waysof meeting mental health challenges
Access mental health support in the community
*This service is not an emergency or crisis service.
What We Offer
Our Employee Psychological Support Service is delivered online audio or virtual, and designed with care and flexibility in mind - requiring only 24 hours’ notice to book, and available during early to late evenings to support those in full-time work.
Each participating employee is matched with a Well-being Coach, who holds a degree in psychology and has received dedicated training in LI-CBT. The same Well-being Coach will accompany them consistently throughout the process, with kindness and attunement to their pace and needs.
This service differs from traditional Employee Assistance Programmes. Rather than providing general counselling, it focuses on evidence-based psychological support grounded in LI-CBT. Over the course of 8 to 12 sessions, each around 45 minutes, employees will be gently guided to explore practical tools and daily reflections to support their wellbeing.
StoryTaler has had the honour of offering this service to employees across more than 18 organisations to date.
Finding balance between work and life is often complex. Reaching out for support in difficult times takes courage, and when met with care and presence, that’s when gentle shifts can begin to happen.
We’re here to walk alongside you, at your own pace.

This service is designed for employees especially for those experiencing mild to moderate emotional distress, such as stress, anxiety, or low mood. It is ideal for those who may wish to seek support early, before difficulties grow heavier. If more complex or severe mental health concerns arise, we will gently recommend seeking further assessment and treatment from a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist to support a safe and connected pathway forward.

The service is offered on a one-to-one basis, with the same Well-being Coach accompanying each employee throughout. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes, with a suggested total of 8 to 12 sessions.
Sessions are held online via video or audio, during early to late evenings to accommodate work schedules. The rhythm and pace are adjusted with care to the individual’s needs.
No. This is a pre-booked service, not a hotline. Each session must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. This allows time for the Well-being Coach to prepare, and also gives the participating employees space to reflect and arrive gently at each session with more clarity and intention.
StoryTaler will report the total number of service users and total service hours of the month as well as the severity and causes of psychological distress anonymously to the company of the participant. StoryTaler will not disclose any personal information to the employer. All personal information and conversation records will be kept strictly confidential (except for personal safety, danger to others, or due to court orders).
Our Well-being Coach holds a degree in psychology and has received dedicated training in low-intensity CBT based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. They are experienced in working with individuals facing mild to moderate depression and anxiety symptoms, and hold at least 10 years of experience.
Above all, our Well-being Coach brings warmth, presence, trauma-informed, person-centre and a non-judgemental approach.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a well-evidence based psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, and other mental health illnesses.
CBT illustrates that consistent psychological distress may be led by unhelpful ways of thinking and/or pattern of unhelpful behaviour, and a vicious cycle is , then, developed. CBT treatment involves changing behavioral and/or thinking patterns through exercises in the session as well as “homework” exercises outside of sessions. Clients can learn how to develop more effective ways of copying with life challenges.
Unlike traditional high-intensity therapy led by clinical psychologists, Low intensityCognitive Behavioural Therapy (LI-CBT) is a form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy that is used to treat mild to moderate common mental health diseases over shorter length of treatment intervention. It is also named as guided self-help CBT, as LI-CBT can be delivered through books, classes, computers and online resources to support psychological wellbeing (Williams and Morrison 2010).
